High Contrast DAPI excitation emission filter set in the life science field, as it can pass through an intact cell membrane, it can be used to stain both live and fixed cells, optimized for achieving exceptionally low noise (background) yet high brightness, resulting in unsurpassed contrast (signal-to-noise ratio). Optolong used a hard-coated exciter working well under intense UV illumination of modern fluorescence light sources.
